For some reason I cannot get the Adobe Flash Player to work with
Internet Explorer 9. But It down loads and works well with Google
Chrome. I have both IE and GC both set a CNN News so when I bring IE
or
GC up and click on something in the news to watch, GC works every
time.
But with IE it tells me I need to download Adobe Flash Player 10.3 or
higher because the videos are (optimized for Adobe Flash Player 10.1
or
higher). I am running Windows 7. After downloading the Flash Player it
reads it was successfully downloaded. But after looking around the PC
I
get a pop up there was a problem downloading the player but I cannot
find out what the problem is. I need ur help. Thank you. Gene from

I believe for Windows 7 you will need to run the file that you download
from Adobe. Look in your downloads folder for the file. When you run
the file there is a check box in the lower left that you need to check
before you press the button to install.

Hey Bill,
I'm about to purchase a new computer for my wife. We are both in our
seventies, and not the best at computeratin'. I DO manage most chores
on Vista, but she has XP and the new one will of course have 7.
She has lots of irreplaceable photos in "Pictures" and more stuff in "My
Documents." It's probably not more than 400-500 Mbits, but I had better
not lose one pixel while trying to move that stuff to the new computer.
My aim is to make the transfer....make it complete.....and stay alive
and well. Speed is not an issue.
Other than calling the Nerd Squad, or taking both 'puters in to a shop,
what's the easiest/safest way to complete the task?

buffalos says Hi Senior Chief. First off you should realy enjoy Windoows
7
It is actually closer in many ways to what you are used to seeing with
XP
than Vista and as long as both machines have a CD/DVD burner transfer
should be very easy even though I havent tried it myself except to
transfer all my mail windows mail on the old machine to windows live
mail.
I chose export and made a file on my desktop and then copied it to a
formatted
flash drive in a csv file and then dropped it on my desktop on the new
computer and imported it to the new mail program. I'll let the group
fill you in on their
experiences with transferring files and folders but I am sure that
windows has
a feature and instructions built in. You will have to choose a mail
program for
Windows 7 but Eudora, Thunderbird and Windows Live Mail are all free. I
put
WLM and Outtlook 2003 on mine and both worked well.
Here is a tutorial that includes moving your files etc.
