Don't have any problems lately because my desktop crashed and
couldn't be fixed so i got a laptop and i have been getting to know
it.. I have never had a laptop so it is a little different to me
but i like it so far.. Got a Lenovo ThinkPad...But if i need help i
will be sure and ask you....We appreciate your help...Just know also
that i am thinking of you and your family and sending prayers for
Nancy...Ann from Ohio

First of all I would like to say, how much I appreciate the "Nerdy
Buffalo" and all the advice the contributing members have given me
over the years.
I miss having Nancy around but, I can only wish her the best and
thank her for all her wonderful contributions and for starting this
site.
May she finally be out of pain and suffering.
She will be missed by all.

Finally got talked into a Windows 7, computer with lots of memory
and a large hard drive.
Having a lot of fun trying to figure things out.
Have run across several problems since I do collect music.
A couple of my programs from Windows XP will not work on Windows 7.
I have a rename program ZzRename for changing the music to legible
rename.
WavMan which is TPA software made for AOL for playing music in chat
rooms.
If anybody has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Buffalo and helpers,
First let me send my condolences to all of Nancy's family. I know
she's in a better place and pain free, but will be dearly missed by
all her family and friends. She was the best and helped so many of
us with our problems on her free time. Godspeed, dear Nancy. My
Prayers are with all your family.
My brother in law has a problem and needs advice and help. Below is
what he wanted me to tell you:
I have a Compac PC and a Dell Laptop on a Linksys wireless router.
Both computers were working fine, until I got a download of Nortons
antivirus. I couldn't get all of Nortons removed, so I did a restore
to a point before I downloaded the Nortons. That's when my problem
started. It restored my PC to a point before I installed the
wireless router. Now the wireless router will not recognize the PC.
The Laptop works fine, but the PC does not work on the wireless
router. I take classes on the Laptop and have important information
that I can not replace if I interrupt the internet connection on it.
Could you please advise me on what to do and how I can get the PC
installed on the wireless router without disturbing the Laptops
connection.
