Hi Buff, I "upgraded" to Firefox 6 last week, when installing it after
the download I got the
Message that Norton was not compatible with version 6 (along with a
couple of other programs) and Firefox simply SHUT THEM DOWN but promised
to check back for updates on those programs to see if any updates made
them compatible with Firefox 6.
I did a system restore immediately to a time before FF6 was installed.
I had to go into Norton and "turn on" & restart parts of the Norton.
Now my problem is that Incredimail works fine for receiving all my
e-mail but I can not open ANY attachment or links from anyone, even the
File, Edit, View,Tools.....etc will not open. Firefox will not even
open now.
I can write, send, forward etc which is how I open links in my e-mails,
I forward from Incredimail to my Hotmail account where everything still
works beautifully. Just incredimail and Firefox not working is creating
a problem...... I am running I.E 9.
Should I just re download Incredimail again or can you suggest a fix
for me? Thanks for any help you can give me on this problem.

buffalo says I goog;led your problem and found nothing and then
went to the Incredimail forum and saw no similar complaints. I would
back up or forward any email you don't want to lose and then reinstall
Incredimail after checking that yyou do have Firefox 5 installed. If you
still have a problem check out their forum.

Interesting about your statement regarding the Windows update, Bill. I
checked how Cookies are displaying on my laptop in Windows Explorer, and
they're displaying exactly the same way, as .txt files, so MS must have
changed something, as I've not fiddled with any of my Win Explorer
settings there. Can others in the herd still running WIN XP PRO check
their Cookie files in Win Explorer, and see if they're displayed as the
same, i.e., as .txt files? If so, this would close the problem out. It
would be appreciated!
Perhaps you can help me with another problem I'm experiencing, when I
use my Toshiba laptop? As I'm typing, periodically I hear a beep (just
one), as I type. It occurs quite frequently. Have you any idea what
this is?

buffalo says I am sure you are aware of the beeps when you hit a
Tab stop or for stuck keys etc. so I will leave this open for the group
which may have Toshiba laptops. Are you running on battery or AC
when this happens?
